The Intergenerational Project

"Beyond the Ages" is an Intergenerational Theatre Project where residents from Cherrywood Retirement Village met with High School students from David Douglas High School to explore communication styles, age-related stereotypes and what makes strong communities.
The residency is an eight week program that culminated with a theatrical presentation performed at both David Douglas High School and Cherrywood Retirement Village for friends, family and other students.

The Re-Collection Project

The Re-Collection Project is a 10 week residency program that pairs Teaching Artists: Robi Arce and Emily Newton, from Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program with Residents of Cherrywood Village Retirement Community in Portland, Oregon. Teaching Artists held theatrical activities that promote and encourage community through the use of theatre, games, objects, storytelling, art and culminated with a Storytelling presentation in Cherrywood Retirement Center and in APANO (Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon) for a general audience.
